Your Orem settings are organized into sections you can access from the Settings page: Profile, Preferences, Notifications & Privacy, Billing, and the Danger Zone. Every change you make is applied after you click Save Settings in the bottom-right corner of the page.

Profile

The Profile section controls your public identity on Orem.
  • Username — Your unique handle across Orem (minimum 3 characters, maximum 30). Orem checks availability in real time as you type.
  • Bio — A short description of yourself, up to 500 characters. This appears on your public profile.
  • Location — Optional city or region displayed on your profile.
  • Social links — Connect your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, SoundCloud, and personal website. Enter just your handle for social platforms and Orem fills in the URL automatically.

Profile picture and banner

You can set your profile picture in one of two ways:
  • Upload a photo — Click Upload Photo and choose any image file from your device.
  • Emoji avatar — Pick from 30 music-themed emoji icons, including instruments, cosmic symbols, and more.
Premium avatar options are also available for upgraded accounts. For your banner, upload an image at a 3:1 ratio (1200×400 px is ideal). Click Remove on either image to revert to the default.

Preferences

The Preferences section controls playback behavior and music personalization.
  • Favorite genres and artists — Add genres and artists to help Orem personalize suggestions. Type a value and press Add or hit Enter.
  • Auto-play — Automatically advance to the next suggested track after playback ends.
  • High quality audio — Stream in lossless format when available.
  • Home page — Choose which section opens when you launch the app (Profile, Community, Tracks, and more).
  • Default layout — Switch between grid and list view for your library.

Notifications and privacy

Notifications Toggle each notification type on or off: Privacy
  • Profile visibility — Set your profile to Public (visible to everyone), Followers Only, or Private (only you).
  • Show music stats — Control whether play counts and other statistics are visible on your profile.
  • Allow downloads — Let other users download your public tracks.
  • Allow remixing — Let other users remix your public tracks.

Billing

The Billing tab shows your current plan, available credits, and next renewal date. From here you can open the Stripe billing portal to update your payment method or change your plan. See the Subscription page for full plan details.

Account deletion

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your tracks, albums, artwork, and community content will be removed. Content shared to the community may remain visible for up to 90 days before permanent deletion unless you request removal beforehand.
