# Create AI instrumentals and beats with Orem's Beat Studio

> Beat Studio generates fully instrumental tracks across 100+ genres. Control mood, key, BPM, leading sound, complexity, and choose from 70+ beat style options.

Beat Studio generates fully instrumental tracks tailored to your exact sound. From a quick prompt to a detailed production brief, you control the genre, key, tempo, mood, leading sound, complexity, and beat style. Beats land in your library as standalone instrumentals, ready to download, use as backing tracks, or bring into your other Orem projects.

  <Step title="Name your beat">
    Enter a **Beat Name** at the top. This is required before generation begins.

  <Step title="Pick your mode">
    Toggle between **Simple Mode** and **Creator Mode**.

    * **Simple Mode** — write a freeform prompt (up to 280 characters) describing the beat you want. Use **Enhance Prompt** to have AI expand and sharpen your description.
    * **Creator Mode** — configure every parameter manually using the sections below.

    Configure the core sound parameters:

        Choose from 10 genre groups containing 100+ specific genres:

        * Pop & Mainstream, Hip-Hop & Rap, Electronic & Dance
        * Rock & Alternative, Metal, R\&B & Soul
        * Jazz & Blues, Country & Folk, Latin & World
        * Mood & Cinematic

        Selecting a genre auto-suggests a matching BPM.

        Pick up to 3 moods to shape the emotional texture of your beat (e.g., Dark, Energetic, Dreamy, Melancholic).

      <Accordion title="Key & Scale">
        Choose a root note (C through B) and scale (Major or Minor), or leave on Auto. Orem suggests keys that fit your genre — for example, Trap defaults toward C Minor and F Minor.

      <Accordion title="BPM">
        Set tempo to Auto (genre-matched) or enter a custom value. Genre BPM defaults: Trap 140, Hip-Hop 90, House 124, Drum & Bass 174, Lo-Fi 80.

      <Accordion title="Leading Sound">
        Choose the instrument or element that sits at the front of the mix: Piano, Synth Lead, Guitar, Strings, Choir, Pluck, Pads, Brass, 808 Lead, or Auto.

      <Accordion title="Complexity">
        Set the production density: **Minimal** (sparse, few elements), **Balanced** (standard arrangement), or **Full Production** (dense, layered sound).

      <Accordion title="Beat Style">
        Select up to 3 styles from 70+ options — Lo-Fi, Trap, Cinematic, Dark, Dusty, Groovy, Melodic, Warm, Aggressive, Dreamy, Drill, Jazz-Infused, Vinyl, and more. Use the search bar to find a specific style quickly.

  <Step title="Save a profile or preset">
    Use **Saved Profiles** to store your current Creator Mode settings for future sessions. Load **Presets** to apply ready-made configurations instantly.

  <Step title="Generate your beat">
    Click **Generate Beat**. The beat enters the queue and appears in your Generated Beats panel when ready. Artwork is auto-generated in the background if you haven't uploaded a custom cover.

<Note>
  Beats are generated as instrumentals — they contain no vocals by default. To add AI vocals to a beat, use the Sing Over tool in Music Studio.

  Combine a genre selection with a custom prompt for the most specific results. The prompt refines the mood and instrumentation while the genre sets the structural foundation.

    Beat Studio saves your current settings as a draft automatically. The next time you open the studio, your last configuration reloads. Use the Load Drawer to restore saved profiles from previous sessions.
